About Drip Irrigation

Drip irrigation is an efficient watering system that delivers water slowly and directly to the root zone of plants through a network of pipes, tubing, and emitters. It is widely used in agriculture, landscaping, and hydroponics because it minimizes water waste and ensures plants receive water and nutrients exactly where they need it.

Types of Drip Irrigation Systems

1.Surface Drip Irrigation: Delivers water to the soil surface through emitters placed on top of the soil. It’s widely used in gardens and crops where plant roots are near the surface.
2.Subsurface Drip Irrigation (SDI): Places the tubing below the soil surface, allowing water to reach roots directly and reducing evaporation. It is used in large-scale agriculture and for plants with deeper root systems.
3.Micro-Drip Irrigation: A low-flow system that delivers precise amounts of water, ideal for container plants, small gardens, and hydroponic systems.
4.Point Source Emitters: Used to irrigate individual plants, each emitter delivers water at a specific point, ideal for trees, shrubs, and widely spaced plants.
